about

Album constructed solely from ‘St. Sixtus I (115-125)’, Unsong’s contribution to Il Programma Di Religione, a 2005 various artist compilation CD (on Boyarm/Slight Record‎) consisting of “One contribution for each pope through 2004, each lasting a maximum of 15 seconds” -in all, the CD contained 265 contributions.

Unsong’s meagre 15 second drop in that bucket of sound is now reconfigured, elongated and re-imagined into its own album; expanded from Sixtus to several, from one pope to many, a Psalter, a Clan, a Cluster, a Nest.

(Track 12 is dedicated to Jhonn & Sleazy)

about

unsong London, UK

Pseudo-faceless vibrational dream-self of author Mason Ball and disreputable Lynchian figment Benjamin Louche: a non-holy trinity of drone, tone and happenstance tintinnabulation, with added audio white elephant.
